Forgot my socks, so could not join the runclub at work. First run after 6 weeks, first sports after 2 weeks😅 Not great, not bad either. It was hot and a bit stormy outside. No free the nippel option out of ethic and comfort point of view😉

My goodness it was so warm outside still!!! Got used to riding with bags, so good excuse to bring a bikini and small towel.😉 Lovely evening ride❤️🙏🏼

Vacation delayed with one and a half day so extra time to ride my bike. Maybe pitch in for the Lola MNR tomorrow 🤔😉

The final stage of a great adventure. We drove along the beautiful rivers on Slovenia again. Breathtaking views😍 We also did some hike a bike tracking on 21% climbs on very narrow routes through the mountains. Had a blast😂 After that the biggest climb of the day came and with three days of climbs in our legs it was not an easy one. Met great people again and shared dinner to close this great adventure. I will be sitting in an ice bath the coming two days 🙈 and think about what adventure will be next.🥰 Thank you Monique Bluemink for sharing this great adventure together😘 Up to the next💪🏼

The day started with a valve stuck in the pump. Monique her tubeless tire was completely flat. Luckely Iñaki Larrañeta had recommanded the greatest mini tool that saved our day.🙏🏼 It was more of a campagne/champagne scenery today with less high but many climbs. There was a gravel climb that was realy to steep to cycle. Oh my, we have cursed our garmins when it annouced another climb🙈 We had booked a hostel but at arrival there were many drunk man on the stairs outside and we did not feel safe. Found another hotel with a casino😂 Had a beautiful dinner and are now going to sleep. Tomorrow our last day😊 What an adventure!

Oh my! We started the day with a serious climb. My legs were not ready for this and it took me quite some time. Tricky descent with worn out tarmac and cobble stones in the turns. Again beautiful views, good food and great people. Slovenia is just beautiful 😍 Very happy to be at an hotel tonight.😅

Started Garmin too late so need to add 54k and 194hm🙈 What a beautiful ride!!!!😍 Stunning views, great people, lots of new cycling friends. We were not sure where we would and up, so we did not book anything. Big mistake!!! Managed to get into a hostel via people we met on the way. Bunkbed it is😂 Had the most tasty pasta with truffel to close the day. What an adventure this is!!!

Jut & Jul reunion before the big adventure🤩 Lots of things on the to do list today. Had to go for spin though. Small team, great company and pace, nice break 😊 Almost got crashed by a taxi, angel on my shoulder🙏🏼

I am an official idiot😂 Easy does it. It was now about being the fastest and breaking records. I went my own pace and made it!💪🏼 So happy I finally managed to do the Mont Ventoux 3 times in one day✅ I got some surprise support from Edwin van Wijngaarden and Lenny. Thanks soo much for that! 🙏🏼And also a big thanks to all the online support. You helped me to stay focused🥰 On to the next adventure!😍

Helping out Lola Bikes & Coffee on the spot on a busy morning❤️

Clearly had to wake up still😅 and what a nice way to start the day. We will not swim together for a while due to vacation and cycling adventures. After that we will pick it up again!

My last ride before the Mont Ventoux #KlimmentegenMS next week. Trying a new bib, practicing eating and found out I don’t like gels😖 Picked up Daphna at the station. Babysitting my niece and nephew while mom and dad having fun at the gaypride Alkmaar🏳️🌈

Monique, Soheil and I wanted to go to Rotterdam via HvH but the wind was realy strong. Change of plan, we turned around and drove to Amsterdam. Great day!!🤩 Thanks soo much🙏🏼

Let’s get is started again😊 Quite a bit of wind, slowly getting back on track💪🏼

Trying to dodge the rain by going for a shorter ride and completely failed😅 Got sooked and dirty, still had fun!! Thanks for the ride everyone!

Jut & Jul could join the ride together again! It had been a while that I could join the weekend ride. It was nice pacing. The wolfpack split up on the coffee break. Traditional Jut & Jul tosti at the finish at Lola. Thanks for the nice ride everyone 🙏🏼

A bit chilly compared to the beginning of the week. A beautiful evening for a ride.☀️ Got into a demonstration at Katwijk. Ate 🍦 on the way back. Saw a ferret and a 🦊 in the dunes. Beers for dessert. Thanks Lola Cycling Club for another great ride!🙏🏼

A beautiful afternoon with the Lola guys. What started as a Vrijdag middag borrel turned into a kroegentocht with an invitation of Darcy Hazenberg . Thanks for a lovely ride and evening!🙏🏼

Out for a ride with the wolfpack. Ate to late, so ate my dinner multiple times…. Noted for next time🙈

We got to enjoy another gravel adventure in Belgium. This time next to Brussels so we decided to spend the night at Ibis Budget. What a great event organized by PlugPlug! A nice mix of gravel, cobble stones, woods and some small pieces of Tarmac. Quite a bit of wind, a little bit of rain and some hight meters this time. Good food at the finish! It was another party 🥳

What an amazing weather for a ride!!! Big turn up, multiple groups, great ride! Thanks everyone 🙏🏼❤️

Had to get those legs moving today. Managed to get two huge blisters🙈 Great timing with the weather coming up this week😉

In order to keep our gravel legs in share we took on a Belgium adventure. Stayed in Turnout for the night, had a lovely dinner and could wake up all fresh and bright in the morning. It started out chilly, bur the sun vame out after an hour or so. We had, gravel, mud, sand and cobboe stones. Erik Op de Beeck took the lead and gave us some local intell. Another beautiful day on the bike😊🥰 Thanks to everyone making this a wonderful day!

Wow! Traffic hour at the pool. 😅 Made me go faster😉

My legs felt like riding through the mud today😅. Slightly slower than yesterday. Beautiful route thanks to Ralph Cullen 🤩 Meeting up with the Lola family in multiple places, back at the hotel just before little rain. Great finish of a lovely weekend ❤️

Lots of hard work and great fun!!! My fastest one ever. Thanks everyone for great day!😍

Route down memory lane. Stayed many times with my aunt in Amsterdam. Lived for 12 years in Haarlem and my daugther was born there. I was born in Beverwijk, grew up Alkmaar. We used to eat at de Gouden Karper with my Grand fathers birthday. Volendam as a tourist. Thanks for the great route and organisation RIDE-A-ROUND•cc ⭕️ Club 🙏🏼

Not because I have, just because I can😊 Mental note: Stretch before you go for a run. Do not pop a piece of cheese before the run and not drink water before you go…

Picked up my bike at the Lola workshop. Forgot my phone at Lola…🙈 Quite a work out after yesterday 😅 Thanks for the nice piano ride everyone and a special thank to Reuben for coming with me to pick up my phone🙏🏼

A cold morning and a big wolfpack showing up. 💪🏼 I started with a flat at home and we had many Lola traditional flats on the way😅 In line with todays Tour of Flanders we tried to ride a circle. Missed many turn and did a lot zig zags. Managed to se the last two hours of the tour at Lola Cycling Club. Another beautiful day🤩 Thanks everyone!🙏🏼

Partially piano, partially solo. Kort-kort What a beautiful weather for a ride!!😍 Thanks everyone!

Bike swap, picking up my road bike and dropping of my gravel bike. Time for a coffee and chat with the priest😇 The bike purrs like a 🐈⬛ and rides smooth like a hot 🔪 through butter. All thanks to the saint of Lola🙏🏼❤️

What an amazing day for a gravelride! Beautiful route with thanks to True grit, great company and we were on fire today🔥 Well deserved burger, fries and beer at the finish. What a joy!!❤️

To good of a day not to cycle. 🤩☀️ Took the short route with Monique. Both visiting our families this afternoon. Best of both worlds😊

Both recovering from an energy drop during the week. Could not do nothing with this weather, so out we go☀️🌿🌱

A collegae run before an International Breeder Meeting at Rijk Zwaan 😅

After two night of sleep with a total of 11 hours, it was not the best call to join the Lola wolfpack for a ride. Within the first 10k I could already feel my body protesting, so I decided to let the pack go. Still followed the route and enjoyed this beautiful day😍 Amazing weather for an endurance ride and taking it easy😊

Taking it easy enjoying the sun😊

It was a bit chilly in the morning but when the sun came through it was just wonderful 😍 We had a crazy amount of ambulances 🚑🚑🚑 passing us, so hopefully all riders get home safe today. Thanks for the nice ride and pacing guys Lola Cycling Club !❤️

What a day!!!😍 Started off chilly, but the sun was warming us up during the ride. Even sat outside during coffee break. Finally got a bit if speed back. Still building up😊 Thanks for the nice ride everyone🙏🏼

Enjoying another morning in the sun with Monique!😍 I guess I am partialy a solar panel😅 Heavy legs today ao not much speed, but at least enjoyed the fresh air😊 And that tan line is slowly coming back🙈

Great day for cycling 😍 Many cyclists on the road. Only a few with shorts!?🙃 Double flyby with Sean vdP 😊 Passed through the club house or church as some call it. 🙏🏼Made a small offering the Saint of Lola Cycling and continue to the evening program😅

I know weather like this at this time of the year is not something to celebrate. As a cyclist I cannot pass the first day of the year above the 10 degrees. So for all of you “mooi weer fietsers” outthere: get those legs out!😊😉

Swimming off a restless night. Back on board wth the AM swimteam😉😊

What an amazing day!🤩 Small group, beautiful route thanks to Finaly got my legs back a bit and my lymph nodes were keeping it together for a change😅 It was cold but we had loads of fun and only one small slip in the mud within the group. Thanks for a great day everyone!🙏🏼❤️

Dancing a busy week out of the system💃🏻

What an off day. Such heavy legs. Missed the connection with the group right at the beginning. Cycled alone for some time. Was collected by a group of riders and completely blocked myself feeling bad slowing everyone down. Had great laughs at the and at the bar. I was out, had some fresh air, happy I went in the end😊

What an amazing day! 🤩 Thanks to a route of #PlugPlugGravel we got to discover a cross border gravel area. It was with loads of mud and we had sooo much fun!!! Had to cut it short in the end with a few rider due to dinner dates or exploded legs (last one were M&M 🙈) Thanks for everyone joining today 🙏🏼 You have made it a day to remember ✨

Keeping up with the road bikes was a mission imposible. Got the support of JWB rock to keep some pace🙏🏼 Good catching up at the bar in the end😉

Incredible beautiful morning!☀️ What a gift of mother nature. Enjoyed every moment. With a coffee catch up with Wouter K. and ran into Ronald Zwinkels at the place to be when riding Lola Cycling Club

Running off a busy mind. Need to look for a way to further improve my running. Seem to be stuck on this pace…

Cold and cloudy but perfect weather for a beachride. Nice pack of 6-8 riders and even encountered a seal😍 He/she looked quite young and lost. Already was reported to be on the beach. Nice little hot chocolate break in the middle. Good times😊

First time with navigation. That needs some practice. … And yes it was safe, no worries, I even got private escort😊😉

Beautiful area, too short stay to see everything. Need to come back😉

We had to watch it on the road, but the beach was just amazing 😍 What a wonderful morning and start of the afternoon ❤️🙏🏼

Theme song “ Slip sliding away” Busy schedule today, so decided to go for a run. Incredible how much warmer you are, with less clothes on than riding a bike this time of the year! All sports in the box, ready for new adventures this year😊

Theme song “Baby it’s cold outside” . Wind, hail, rain and sun we had them all. Visited Monique Bluemink family in Moerkapelle and were spoiled with love and and lots of delicious food😍. What a great first ride of the year🍾

Missed out in the New Years dive, so went for my first 2k swim on my day off with Marije van Deudekom and Auke. Early morning and well worth it.

When Garmin tells you to take it easy, you go for a walk with Monique and go with the wind. Beautiful encounter with cows and a nice coffee at the finish❤️

Continuous drizzel, nice route, traditional flat tire🙈, feeding the cold an hungry wolfpack at the end. Thanks for the nice ride everyone!🙏🏼

What was supposed to be a gravelride off track turned into a foggy road ride with a gravelbike on low tire pressure, due to roadblocks on the way. Almost ended up on a hood of a car that did not see is, nearly ran over a rabbit, ended up eating amazing Italian food. End good, all good😊

Playing outside with Monique Bluemink on the MTB and me on the gravelbike. Mostly MTB tracks, lots of fun😂

2024 swim is a wrap! With a big thanks to Marije van Deudekom and Auke for inviting and coaching me. 🙏🏼 I am getting the gang of it, so will continue in 2025!

Not in shape, so pulled through with lots of help this time. Thanks for that everyone🙏🏼 Lovely ride, have nice Christmas 🎄✨

Really cold🥶 and more rain than we had hoped for. A good ride anyway with good company😊

Lovely day☀️ with a great team🙏🏼

Squeezing in some exercise in a busy weekend ☀️😊

Representing the Thursday Lola❤️ swim team😊

Ride down memory lane, beautiful weather, great company. Love it❤️

Back to technique. Not showing up for twee weeks is two steps back…

Taking Louise Jensen first her first winterish ride. Quite a bit of 💨 today and a lovely ☀️

First ride after the new bike fit with Aron Kremer . It felt good!! First my knee was protesting but during the ride that disappeared. So grateful 🙏🏼 Looking forward to pick up the graveling again 🤩

Running out a cold, clearing the head. Feeling good😊

What an amazing weather to ride! Probably one of the last days with a short bib. One of my first Dutch edition Lola rides. 🧡Thanks to all!! It was a good one.

Easy going with part of the Lola crew

Focus on technics together with Marije van Deudekom . Who will join us next?

With a big thanks to coaches Marije and Auke🙏🏼 Oh boy I need some practice 🙈

Trying the legs again😊 Thanks for waiting for me to join the piano ride🙏🏼

Combining “running” errands, walking off the liquids around my ankle and prepping for an alternative recovery sport😊 Probably taking too much photos along the way…

Both trying the legs again after an injury

Round up of an amazing adventure 😍 Memories that will hopefully last for a long time. Easy ride, awaiting doctors verdict tomorrow morning😊

What a journey it was! Sun, wind, rain. Beautiful cities, villages, woods, agricultural field and vineyards. 🤩 Friendly people cheering “Bon courage” on the way, giving my priority in crossings, helping me to find a place to sleep, giving me water and free chocolate milk to warm Since the second day I was cycling with all kinds of discomfort in my right leg and it got worse every day. This morning I woke up with a swollen ankle and could hardly move my foot anymore. I gave it my “Ganbatte”, and had to listen to my body. I was sad and disappointed at first but can be proud of achieving 516k in three days. My dad came to pick me up and I get to spend some extra time with my parents 🙏🏼💛 Big shout out to everyone supporting me on the way and/or with my fundraising! You have been amazing 😘❤️

What a day! Before starting this journey I said; I am gonna go if the weather is not too bad. Then I figured: You don’t get to choose to get Alzheimer, Cancer, MS or any other disease either, so I am just going to take it as it comes. The first 3 hours were dry and riding through many vineyards which was hilly but very nice. After that a lot of farmland and windmill fields. With good reason, because there was enough wind there. Lots! And again rain. Woke up with a different injury this morning (again the right leg…., will have it checked when I get back…). Which made power peddling off limits again. A nice finish with a smooth bicycle path. Unfortunately arriving to Troyes, all hotels where full!!!! Managed to find a place with local help. I was about to burst into tears. So happy be warm and dry again🙏🏼

Plus an extra 10k. Turned on the Garmin too late. From La Louvière to Corbeny the Ganbatte edition. The day started with the light in my room playing around. Bad omen?! Yesterday I had two hours of rain. Today I had two hours of sun. It was terrible weather and again headwinds all the way. Its was like riding this years Omloop van Zandvoort but then riding it in Limburg. It was hilly and my leg was not improved today. 😔 It reminds me of inflamed veins I have had 4 years ago. They did echos to check if it was thrombosis but could not find anything. They just gave me ibuprofen. Also moving is recommended. So that is what I bought in a pill and gel form. I also brought compression socks so I switched to those after an hour of cycling. It took the sharpness of for a few hours. 💊Did come back full force by the end of the day…. Therefore the Ganbatte edition; keep moving forward, giving it your best considering the conditions. 💪🏼 Riding the ravels was nice. These are old train tracks turned into bicycle paths. I also rode a lot of country side. Which is beautiful in the sun, but very exposed in these conditions. Happy to be at an hotel again. Eat something and go to bed early 😅

Oh my, where to begin. It was a tough ride. Two propper rainshowers and headwind all the way. Temperature was great. Was not cold once. My right leg started to protest the last three hours. I had planned to pass the border with France, but I could not get any power out of my leg anymore. Compensating too long with the left one it was time to rest.😅 It was not the most scenic route through Belgium. Rode along side a lot of train tracks. The bicycle paths are great though! Car drivers were very friendly and gave me way most of the time also in situations that it was not my right.🙏🏼 Memory wise a lot of things passed on the way. Rotterdam: lived close to there for more than 10 years. My daughter is still there in school and regularly performs there with Jeugdtheater Hofplein. Many friends live in that area with which we have spend great days in the city. Going out at Witte de With, North Sea Jazz, Philharmonic Orchestra, Markthal, de Hofbogen, the Marathon, Wereld Havendagen, Nacht van de Kaap and I can go on… Passed close to Fijnnaart where also friends live, celebrating New Years eve, also my work has a breeding location overthere and visited many fields. Antwerpen: spending time with family and friends, het Chocolade Museum, departure to South Africa from the station, Christmas time. On the way somewhere a sign to the Suske en Wiske Museum. Read many of the those😊 Brussel: been many times at the station. Might be the first time I entered the city. They have nice lunches😊 Now dinner and a good night rest!
